Sean Kingston created “Gotta Move Faster” to promote Intel Centrino processors. This is unchartered territory given that Kingston and Intel released the song on the Internet without a lot of paid advertising around it.
Virally the song has been viewed 320,000 times on MySpace and another 45,000 times on YouTube. The key to this type of exposure in my opinion is the authenticity of the music. It is actually a pretty good song with a nice beat and hook. I have to admit the first few times I listened to the song, I had no idea Intel had any involvement.
Watch the video below and see if you can tell:
Intel is donating its profits from sales of the single and ring tones to the Intel® Computer Clubhouse Network, an after-school community-based technology learning program that enables youth in underserved communities to acquire tools necessary for personal and professional success.
